Visiting the website. The website runs on Cloudflare. Cloudflare processes technically necessary data such as your IP address and the page requested, to deliver the pages and fend off attacks, and keeps technical logs for a short time (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We don't store IP addresses in our database: to prevent abuse of the free screenshot reading, we count requests per IP address only as a one-way hash and delete the counters after two days. We also count how often each page of the calculator is opened, per day and source (e.g. "Google ad"), without any link to a person.

No tracking cookies. We set no cookies and use no analytics or advertising trackers. Your answers in the calculator are in the page address. If we read a listing for you, the page keeps its text in this browser tab's storage (session storage) until you close it, so it isn't lost when you order. Only in the payment window does Stripe set its own cookies, needed for the payment and fraud prevention.

Listings and screenshots. If you upload a screenshot or paste listing text, we send it to our AI provider OpenRouter to read it, which passes it to the language model (e.g. Anthropic) (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, at your request). We don't store the images; we keep the text read from them only if you order. Please don't upload images containing other people's data.

Orders. For an order we process your email address, your answers about the car and the listing, to create, deliver and bill the result (Art. 6(1)(b)) and to meet legal duties (Art. 6(1)(c)). The result is created with the help of AI and checked by a person; no automated decision with legal effect on you is made. Stripe handles the payment; we never see card details. We send emails through Resend.

Advertising. If you arrive through an ad (e.g. on Google), the address contains the ad's tags (campaign, search term, click ID). If you order, we store them with the order to see which ads work (Art. 6(1)(f)). We don't pass any data to Google for this.

Recipients. Cloudflare (hosting), Stripe (payment), OpenRouter and the AI providers it uses such as Anthropic (reading listings, writing), Resend (email). Some are in the USA; transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, otherwise on standard contractual clauses.

How long. We delete orders with your answers, the result and your email address 12 months after the order, unpaid orders after 30 days, and sent emails after 12 months. We keep invoice and payment records as long as tax law requires (7 years in the Netherlands).

Your rights. Access, correction, deletion, restriction, data portability, and objection to processing based on Art. 6(1)(f). Write to support@importklar.at. You can complain to a data protection authority, such as the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens (Netherlands) or the Austrian Datenschutzbehörde.
